I drove from Littleton at about 3a.m. to Rollinsville, started riding in the dark and kept going until the sun began to rise over the silhouette of mountain peaks. It was pretty uneventful, but scenic for sure. Crawling my way around the Needles Eye Tunnel was perhaps the most interesting event, but in the end that to was just a grunt to add to the hardship of climbing at this elevation -- 11,715 ft in el. Let the good times roll baby!
